Job Summary: As a Commercial Roofing Laborer, you'll support our experienced crew in installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial roofing systems. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn. No prior experience required for entry-level, but 1-2 years in construction or roofing is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in tearing off old roofing materials, preparing surfaces, and disposing of debris safely.
- Load, unload, and stage tools, equipment, and materials at job sites.
- Install new roofing systems, including flashings, vapor barriers, and insulation, under foreman guidance.
- Perform basic repairs like patching leaks, replacing damaged sections, and ensuring watertight seals.
- Set up safety equipment, barricades, and warning lines; adhere to OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and vehicles to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Work in various weather conditions and at heights.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and roofing materials (training provided if needed).
- Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and punctuality.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Preferred: Experience in commercial roofing, construction, or related trades.
